Barrow parkrun 298

It was a soggy run this morning for the 141 brave people who turned up at Barrow parkrun on Saturday, well done to all of you and a big thank you to the volunteers who encouraged us on the slightly undulating course.
There was no significant milestone runs this week, but we got to celebrate the birthdays of 2 of our junior runners: Antonio Maggio-Poyntz and Ollie Wilson, thank you for the cake Ollie which we shared after the run, they are both now 11 and no longer have to be accompanied on the run with a responsible adult.

Parkrun organise free, weekly, 5km timed runs around the world. They are open to everyone, free, and are safe and easy to take part in.
These events take place in pleasant parkland surroundings and we encourage people of every ability to take part; from those taking their first steps in running to Olympians; from juniors to those with more experience; we welcome you all. Please remember you do not have to run the whole course, you are welcome to run, walk, jog or even skip around our lovely park.

We welcome children at parkrun. Please note that those under the age of 11 must be within arm's reach of a parent, guardian or designated adult of the parents' choice whilst attending 5k parkrun events. It must also be ensured that children place themselves appropriately at the start so as to prevent a situation where they are being repeatedly overtaken. This is to ensure the safety of your child.

See you all soon
