Barrow parkrun 312

Barrow parkrun 312

Congratulations this morning to Jenny Fazackerley who completed her 100th milestone run and Lorraine Dickinson who completed her 50th run, both Jenny and Lorraine will be rewarded with a milestone T-Shirt courtesy of Wiggle.  It was also the 150th run for Jim Beaton, congratulations to Jim, and only another 100 to go to reach your next milestone T-shirt.

We were very lucky with the weather for most of the run this morning and Storm Brian just added a slight breeze on parts of our undulating course.

Next week we will be celebrating Halloween, so dust out your costumes and let's see how many witches, skeletons and ghosts we can spot running around the park at 9.00am.

This week 171 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 17 were first timers and 27 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 10 different clubs took part.

The event was made possible by 24 volunteers, thank you very much for all your encouragement.

We welcome children at parkrun. Please note that those under the age of 11 must be within arm's reach of a parent, guardian or designated adult of the parents' choice whilst attending 5k parkrun events. It must also be ensured that children place themselves appropriately at the start so as to prevent a situation where they are being repeatedly overtaken. This is to ensure the safety of your child.

See you all soon
