1st Birthday celebrations.

Yesterday was Belfast Victoria Parkruns 1st birthday and what a fantastic day it was. The weather was super with 163 runners (a new record) taking part in the sunshine. We were very privelaged to have extremely hard working MP Naomi Long and former World Champion boxer Wayne "the pocket rocket" McCullough on hand to present some awards that recognised the fantastic performances throughout the year by many of our parkrunners. The hospitlity following the event was supurb and the efforts by all those involved can not be overstated. The bowling pavillion was packed with standing room only and thoe who stayed behind to watch the awards presentation seemed to really enjoy the occasion. We take this oppurtuninty to thank everyone for playing their parts however large or small for yesterday and the last 12 months. we think something special is developing in Victoria Park. Heres to the next 12 months.
