Rather different conditions greeted the runners this morning after the warmth of last weekend, but at least (for us volunteers if no one else) it stayed dry.
A large cheer went up as I announced that subject to final confirmation, we are likely to stay at Wilverley until 26th May. Please keep an eye on this page and our social media to be sure. Next week we plan on running Wilverley in the reverse direction, so make sure you come back for a slightly different take on our winter venue.
A big thank you to our volunteers who performed flawlessly, around the course and at the busy finish area.
First home today was Alex Prinsep from Romsey Road Runners. He just held off the first lady Sharon Singer and her dog by one second in an exciting finish.
This week 168 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 27 were first timers and 20 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 19 different clubs took part.
The event was made possible by 17 volunteers:
Frank HANDY • Diana Jane DAVIS • Steve BENNETT • Sandra JURD • Pauline BREEZE • Marian OATES • Steve WARDLE • Karen WARDLE • Poppy WARDLE • Mike BRUCE-BURGESS • Robbie PRITCHARD • Micky PRITCHARD • Glenda MONSON • Arthur LOMAX • Steve ANDREW • Neil SMART • Hilary BRUCE-BURGESS
