It was a very windy morning for the 117 people who ran, jogged or walked the course after overnight rain. We welcomed 38 first timers including visitors from Australia and South Africa and representatives of 19 different clubs took part.
Congratulations to the 14 who recorded new Personal Bests despite the wind including little Molly Currie from New South Wales who set a parkrun PB. Well done also to first time visitor, young Alfie Spurle from Chichester Runners, who led the field home.
Natalie Green of Hardley Runners led the ladies home for the 8th time with Catherine Smith of NF Juniors only 2 seconds behind!
First time visitor Rob Bentley set the highest Age Grade score less than 1% ahead of Catherine Smith.
One set of grandparents deserve special mention as Tim and Kathy Bigg came along as supporters and then walked all 4 laps and registered after the finish! Well done to both as they finished in 45 minutes despite the less than speedy buggy that Tim was pushing!
Milestone runs were recorded by Duncan Milne of NFR and son Ned with both showing exemplary loyalty. Duncan has run ALL 100 parkruns at Brockenhurst and Ned all 10 for his Junior Club T shirt.
