This week 196 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 11 were first timers and 14 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 19 different clubs took part.

The event was made possible by 13 volunteers:

Sebastian ANTHONY • Martin LITTLE • Stephen PRETTY • Heidi GRIFFITHS • Joaquim MONTEIRO • Susan DUNNE • Asia DAVIES • Tracey TAYLOR • Gregory STEVENSON • Zachary STRICKLAND • Daniel COOK • Katie PEARCE-HIGGINS • Rosie STEVENS

Today's full results and a complete event history can be found on the Bury St Edmunds parkrun Results Page.

We are well into winter conditions in the park now. There was a very wet spell before our parkrun, which left the ground rather muddy and slippy. If you are not already doing so, please think about using trail shoes or cross country shoes. These will have a good grippy tread pattern on the soles, helping to prevent you from slipping. Of course they are also great for exploring our footpaths and bridleways throughout the year. If you don't have a pair - perhaps Santa (or the post Christmas sales) can help.

It was also pretty windy making running quite tough - I found that out myself when I ran later in the day. We decided not to risk the gazebo in the gusty conditions.

Anyway, I really enjoyed being your RD for the last two weeks and am very grateful to all the volunteers to helped make that possible. Looking forward to running with you again next Saturday.

Zachary is your RD for the next two weeks and also for Christmas day. This week, he needs a timekeeper, a scanner an several marshals. Get in touch via the future volunteer roster page at http://www.parkrun.org.uk/burystedmunds/futureroster/ if you would like to help.

See you out there - Steve!
