On another hot Saturday morning with the ground rock hard and the grass parched to a cinder, 701 of you from 37 various different clubs and numerous parts of the county took your place at the start for Chelmsford`s 294th Parkrun.
We welcomed 40 first timers this week.
Just to show the global appeal of Parkrun we were also joined by a couple of tourists from South Africa who were most complimentary about the lovely course and considering their home is in Durban and incorporates the Golden mile along the coast it was high praise indeed.
This week we again featured in the top 10 attended UK parkruns:
1. Bushy Park (1176)
2. Cardiff (736)
3. Cannon Hill (736)
4. Heaton Park (734)
5. Poole (709)
6. Chelmsford Central (701)
7. Frimley Lodge (646)
8. Nonsuch (629)
9. Newcastle (628)
10. Black Park (602)
We were also joined on Saturday by representatives from the Js Hospice who are once again organising the Chelmsford Marathon which is being held on the 21 Oct so if 42.195 Kilometres is a step too far how about volunteering for the event and help what is a great charity providing care for young adults with life limiting conditions across Essex.
