Clacton Seafront parkrun
Event number 115
19th January 2019
This week 165 people ran, jogged and walked the course on a very cold windy day, the course again was littered with stones and sand but you brave people tackled it with no issue. We welcomed 25 first timers and a whopping 29 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 14 different clubs took part.
We had a few milestone parkrunners this morning, congratulations to Bill Heaton who completed his 200th parkrun, Chris Clarke his 50th, and Annabel Moore on her 10th as a junior.
We had a few issues again with parkrunners going through the funnel twice. If you have already been through the funnel once PLEASE do not go through again, this can cause mayhem with the results. If you want to support your fellow parkrunners by running with them, we fully support and encourage this, it is lovely to see, but could I ask that you either run alongside them outside of the coned area or stop before the finish.
Mark and I look forward to seeing you all next week, fingers crossed it will be not as cold.
