The day was made even more special with Roy returning to marshal the famous “Roy's Split”.

Jim and Patrick completed their 100th parkrun, Katy and Paul their 50th and Alistair his 10th “grown up parkrun” as a junior.

For once, the volunteers looked less flashy than the participants:

But they all knew what they were doing and enjoyed working together. What a team!

Special mention to Steve who lead a team of tail walkers comprising of four under 10s.

The team had brought enough satsumas for everyone to enjoy at the finish!Cp389

Katy spiced up her 50th parkrun by doing “burpees” every time she passed a marshal.

The atmosphere was so great, lots of people staying at the finish line, talking to friends, and enjoying the occasion.
