Event #32- Ho Ho Ho and off you go!

Today’s run report is to the tune of “We’re Walking in the Air” from The Snowman:

Baubles on the trees
Fairy lights on the fence by the start
Mince pies and mulled wine
To warm your hands and your heart.

“Ho ho ho and go”
Father Christmas set us on our way
He marshalled in the field
Perhaps he used his sleigh.

We’re running on the mud
We’re sliding all around the park
The marshals on the course
All greet us as we pass.

Suddenly, running past, on their second lap
Go the speedy front runners in Santa hats.

With tinsel in our hair
Some have festive leggings too
Lots of Christmas hats
And tinsel on some shoes.

We’re heading to the end
We can all see the final bend
The giant snowman is ready
To hand out the tokens.

parkrun on Christmas Eve
We all enjoyed running in the breeze
Well done to the volunteers,
We hope you’re full of Christmas cheer.
