Fountains Abbey parkrun # 190 Run Report

Despite the mornings now being colder and darker it's clear that this isn't putting any of you keen parkrunners off your Saturday fix. This Saturday saw 345 of you turn up for another fantastic morning at The Abbey.

And what a great morning it was too with 100 run and 200 run celebrations. A special mention must go to the fantastic Tom Oates who used the occasion of his 100th parkrun to not only beat his PB but obliterate it. Very well done Tom and thank you for the cakes you brought along for us all to share in your celebrations.

As I ran round setting the course up the water gardens were stunning in the cold crisp Autumn air. Conditions were ideal for fast running and congratulations to the 71 of you who ran a new PB.

Thank you to everyone who has volunteered in the coming weeks - we already have a full roster for this week but if you are able to help in the weeks following that would be fantastic - just drop us an email and we'll slot you into the roster.

With Christmas approaching and everyone's diaries starting to fill up we though it would be an ideal time before everyone is fully booked up and partied out to have another of our informal social gatherings and get dressed up in our non running kit.

On Saturday (18th November) all are invited to an informal soiree (we're reet posh in Ripon!) at the Royal Oak, Ripon to talk all things running - and non running. Everyone is welcome and we'd love to see you there for a chat and a drink - from 7:30pm.
