Mud

With all of the recent rain we've had, our first parkrun was a little muddy and slippery in parts and since these conditions are likely to become a feature over the winter months we thought it might be good to suggest that you choose suitable shoes for that purpose. The course is 50% tarmac, 50% earth / stone / trail, so you may want to consider trail shoes or something with a little more grip if you have them!

Gnoll parkrun inaugural event

Some of the volunteers from the very first Gnoll parkrun.

A big thanks to all our volunteers and runners who braved the rain for the very first Gnoll parkrun.  A total of 101 runners took part including 22 who had never run a parkrun before. We've had some very positive feedback on the course so far plus some constructive comments on what we might do to improve in events to come. We'd love to hear your thoughts!

It was great to see the Gnoll park full of people on a wet Saturday morning and the visitor centre full of damp, but happy parkrunners enjoying a post-run coffee.

Let's do it all again on Saturday!  See you there!  Don't forget your barcode!
