Two of our tourists this week had a special reason for running this week:

Robert Mitchell and Ethan Lee ran parkrun this week in honour of Chris Gregory. Chris sadly lost the battle against his brain tumour three weeks ago and last Saturday (10th) was the day that his family and friends said goodbye at Hutcliffe Wood Crematorium. He loved to be outdoors so it was fitting that they ran parkrun in his honour. Graves parkrun offer their condolences to Chris’ family and friends. Thank you for sharing your story Robert.

As ever, a massive thanks to the volunteers this week – remember, without them, there can be no parkrun. Vounteers were a little hard to gather again this week: please give back to your parkrun once in a while – we promise you’ll enjoy it!

The volunteer heroes this week were:

Julie ARMSTRONG, Connie Susiebelle BINGHAM, Elaine BIRD, Janet CHAPMAN, Cath DAVIES, Martin DOWNHAM, Jo ECCLES, Everything's Run GREEN, Kieran HICKEY, Paul HIGGINBOTTOM, Andy LEDBETTER, Kerry MARSTON-GIROUX, Gavin NEWHOUSE, Robert NICOL, Graham NIELD, Stuart ROOKER, Helen SMITH, Geoffrey TWELVETREE, Yvonne TWELVETREE, Roger WALTERS, Simon John WILES, Sallyann WINSLOW

As usual, the event would not run anywhere near as well without the wonderful group of volunteers that Graves parkrun attracts. Please remember it’s easy to volunteer, just leave a message on the Graves parkrun Facebook page or e-mail the Graves team on: graveshelpers@parkrun.com or See our volunteer page for details on getting involved in making Graves parkrun happen.
