Jo welcomed everyone to Graves this morning including her special guests from Sky who were filming for a series of videos that will be shown in April. We will, of course, share more details when we get them.
As well as the usual run briefing this morning there were a few extra bits of information to share about the recording, it was great that everyone listened in and we didn't encounter into any issues during the run! It was a useful reminder though that often we may have to add info into the briefing, so it can change and just like the safety briefing on any flight, one of the biggest points is to ensure everyone's safety during the event.
A big thank you to this week's volunteers… Amy ALLCARD, Julie ARMSTRONG, David BONNETT, Charley BURNEY, Paul CHAPMAN, Janet CHAPMAN, Lucy COWELL, Julie DAVIS, Mark DAVIS, Martin DOWNHAM, Robert DYMOND, Jo ECCLES, David EGAN, Joe 'the Pirate' ELLIS, Charlotte ELLIS, Tony ELLIS, Lynn FINDLAY, Stephen GILMER, Janet GLOVER, Paul HIGGINBOTTOM, Charlie LAST, Catherine MCKEOWN, William NEEDHAM, Catherine NEEDHAM, Gavin NEWHOUSE, Liz NICHOLAS, Robert NICOL, Carol SPEIGHT, Jennie STEVENS and Simon John WILES.
While we are talking about volunteers, we will have a shiny new Run Director next week! If you would like to volunteer and perhaps try something new (like I'll be doing!), please have a look at the future roster here: http://www.parkrun.org.uk/graves/futureroster/ and drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org with what you'd like to do. All the volunteering roles are straight forward, you'll always be shown exactly what to do, and you'll never be asked to do something you are uncomfortable with.
Back to this week's run... There were 6 new to parkrun parkrunners today, we hope you enjoyed your first event and look forward to seeing you again soon.

Please keep an eye out on Facebook for any cancellation notices before heading to Graves, we will always try to let people know as early as possible of any issues, but safety of those taking part will always be our priority!
Don’t forget that there is now a junior parkrun at Graves Park on a Sunday morning too.
As usual, the event would not run anywhere near as well without the wonderful group of volunteers that Graves parkrun attracts. Please remember it’s easy to volunteer, just leave a message on the Graves parkrun Facebook page or e-mail the Graves team on: email@example.com or See our volunteer page for details on getting involved in making Graves parkrun happen.
