A marathon weekend, and our 5Kers played their part in the glorious weather.
Congratulations to these new clubbers ...
Anthony AUSTIN on your 50th
Isobel REA on your 100th
Kay LYDALL on your 100th
(fyi, this week we had 4x 10 clubbers, 50x 50 clubbers, 17x 100 clubbers and 1x Alan Anderson ... ) ...
Congratulations too, to the many first timers, 41 in fact ! ... and to one in particular, Gordon MESTRUM, who I know had a lot of pre run nerves, but a great run and some token sorting in the cafe after, seemed to calm those nerves.
Well done to those that were running or volunteering before taking part in the London marathon ... ... and well done to the Ealing Eagles team who did a great job of supporting the marathon at Mile 23 (just a parkrun to go) - marshaled well by Gunnersbury regular Andrea HENDY.
Andrea is 2nd in the current standings in the Women's annual points competition - its worth taking a look at the points tables to see how you are doing as we reach half way in the annual competition (October to October for Gunnersbury).
Here is the overall summary for the week ... see you next week, Andrew
