NO RUN at Hackney Marshes parkrun on Christmas or New Years Day

Hackney Marshes parkrun regretfully advises all runners and volunteers that due to unforeseen circumstances we are unable to provide a free 5km run on both Christmas and New Years Days.

However, we will be providing a run on each Saturday during this period, i.e. 23rd and 30th December at the usual start time of 9am.

Although we are unable to put on additional festive runs this year, we can confirm there are a number of other parkruns nearby who have scheduled runs on the 25th December and/or 1st January.

To find a free 5km run over the festive period please review the Christmas and New Year status for all UK parkruns at the parkrun Christmas Compendium link;

http://www.parkrun.org.uk/christmas-compendium/

You can also see the distance that nearby parkruns are from Hackney Marshes parkrun by going to our website homepage and look for the 'Other parkruns Nearby' section (below the picture and under the 'Thanks to the volunteers' section).

http://www.parkrun.org.uk/hackney-marshes/

We hope you have a very enjoyable Christmas and New Year and look forward to seeing you as usual on every Saturday during this period at the usual time of 9am.

Volunteering - get involved with your parkrun!

Your parkrun depends on you volunteering 3 times a year. If you'd like to be included on our volunteer mailing list, please drop us an email - Hackney-MarshesHelpers@parkrun.com. We are still looking for volunteers to fill vacant positions in December and we welcome hearing from you if you are able to help.

Remember - we don't want our regular runners to be penalised in the yearly points competition just because they volunteered, so every runner gets full points for volunteering on up to three occasions per year.
