Overnight rain, tough muddy conditions, and a stray swan in the back field did not deter the fantastic 70 people that ran, jogged or walked the course this weekend, of whom 8 were first timers and 2 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 8 different clubs took part, including Shepperton Running Group, Hillingdon AC, Thames Hare and Hounds club, (Wimbledon), and the British Airways Athletic Club.
The first male finisher was Will Cullen of South London Harriers in a time of 19:55 and the first female finisher was Kathryn Lovegrove in a time of 23:48. Best age grade result was Stuart Crichton in the VM 65-69 age group with a figure of 66.76%. Congratulations to all.
We also congratulated Mark Bosher who achieved his 50th run and now qualifies for a red tshirt. Well done Mark. A visitor, Andy Jackson also completed his 50th event with us. Congratulations to him also.
Mike Parr completed his 99th event this week and we look forward to him completing his 100th at Hazelwood very soon.
