Firstly, I would like to apologise to Les Hewitt and his family (Les and Anne Hewitt plus Fiona Pudge and Ian Pudge (Anne's daughter and son)) as they took to parkrun with all the family and four dogs a couple of weeks ago. It was nice to see them all together and do the run as a family. This is what parkrun is all about, bringing all the family and friends together to make parkrun ONE BIG FAMILY.
A very warm welcome to all our runners today, hope those that noticed we did not have a parkrun last week took advantage of other parkrun's around the country. It would be nice to hear from those that took this opportunity and let us know where you went and how you got on.
Welcome to our 18 first timers, hoping the weather was not too hot for your first run.
Congratulations to both Julian Rose who came in 1st place of the run today with a time of 17.47 and to Yasmin Parapia with a time of 23.45.
Well done to Andrea Scholey who set out to get a sub 30 for a good few weeks now and came up trumps with a fantastic time of 29.46 today.
Thank you to all our volunteers... it was again very much appreciated.
VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED!!
We require volunteers for next week and Mark and Clare are away and Rick and Damien will need volunteers to help out in our absence. If you are wanting to volunteer please email heatonhelpers@parkrun.com.
Reminders!!!
Belongings!!
Please can everyone leave their belongings at the side of the registration desk. This is for the safety of the belongings and also it free's up the other space for our dog walkers and the like.
Barcodes!!
Thank you to all that remember to bring their barcodes, this helps us tremendously at the registration desk. If you have yet to print your barcode off, please do so and this not only helps us but it gives you 10% discount at Sweatshop in the Arndale Centre, Manchester.
Notices!!!
Thank you to those that sponsored me (Clare Kelly) for the It's a Knockout in which I participated in on 3rd July. Please can those that have yet to do so, please bring their sponsor money in the next few weeks so that it can be handed in.
