Killerton parkrun Event number 393 24th November 2018

Mud Wrestling comes to Killerton Parkrun.

Seeing the weather over the last couple of days and knowing I have a race the next day I opted not to go paddling round Parkrun today.
195 brave souls did though.
Andrew Eaton -Hart doing his 100th along with  Philip Hall and Annie Foot who has done nearly as many volunteering.
Our John Reader has done 25 volunteering so has Chrissie Randall.
Jude Naban completed 50 as did Bruce Odlin who lost his balloon up a tree,  and Tim Laverick who didn't.
I just confused everyone by being 50 years old (Well, tomorrow).
Patrick Devine-Wright was first in over a minute ahead of everyone else and Lucy Commander in as first woman.
All  were caked in mud reporting big puddles.
Please listen to the marshals when they direct you through the puddles.
It's much safer than trying to go round as people always find out too late..
We had visitors from Maidenhead and Stratford upon Avon who were doing a run before going off to play board games.
Also people from Ludlow.
Mud wrestling? At the finish two non Parkrunners got into a fight because one kicked the other's dog.
They were brawling in the mud on National Trust property!
Thanks to all the volunteers who stood out in the rain and make Parkrun possible.
If you haven't volunteered please give it a go. It's great fun even in the rain!
See you all for more again soon!
