Event 192 and Red Welly Relay


 

 Well done to everyone that took part in today's event, thankfully the weather held off for us as always at Hyde Park and congratulation to all those first time runners and those who achieved new personal bests.

 

Today saw the 3rd annual Red Welly Relay, our special event where the males take on the females in a 25x200m relay round the whole course. This year it was the mens turn to take the red welly crown with a win in the fastest ever time 1min 12secs ahead of the females. Well done guys!

The females now have a narrow lead of 2-1 overall in the series so will be looking to hold onto their lead. Until 2012...

Yet again another brilliant event, and one of our biggest! This morning couldn't have run any better. Results for this week will be up very soon. Mob run results from last weeks event will be posted within the next few days. Although it has been revealed that Leeds University X-C club achieved the best average time with Hyde Park Harriers the most runners. Well done to all runners.

Yesterday's run


 

 
For those interested.....we smashed the record this morning for the number of parkrunners at Leeds parkrun. Our new record stands at 367 finishers. Massive thank you to all the volunteers. Hectic, but magnificently managed. .....And thank you to the 367 parkrunners (of which 72 were first timers) who made the event special. Great turn out from the clubs in Leeds. Official results from the mob run still to come..
