Firstly thank you to the parkrunners who stopped and helped when someone was taken ill today. We really appreciate your assistance and that you gave up your parkrun to do so. We would also like to send our best wishes to the parkrunner for a speedy recovery.
And a huge thank you to our DofE volunteers who stepped up and ran the finishing area perfectly whilst we were busy dealing with the incident.
This week 266 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 49 were first timers and 60 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 16 different clubs took part.
This week we had 20 hi-vis heroes, thank you once again.

Barton & District Athletic Club brought their juniors this week and it was lovely to see that they all had their adults to run with them.
Sue, pictured right, a tourist from Rochdale is also Event Director at Rochdale Junior parkrun and Run Director at Watergrove parkrun. She brought Tonia along for her very first parkrun.
Nicola ran her 50th parkrun and Joe Hare did his 10th parkrun (Sorry Joe I missed your photo). Ian Crawford did his 100th parkrun today unannounced too
Jonathon took on the Banana Challenge this week and became the fastest banana to run round Normanby Hall in a time of 20:35, which is going to take some beating. But if you fancy having a go just just let us know.
First finisher was Pumlani Bangani in a new PB of 17:58, Andrew Weaver finished second in 18:02 followed by Kian Wiles in a PB of 18:11 and also a new age category record for JM11-14.
First lady to finish was Abby Scales in 20:44 followed by Libby Killick in a PB of 23:06 and Daisy Bell third finishing in 23:51

The male record is held by William STRANGEWAY who recorded a time of 16:04 on 21st April 2018 (event number 24).
The female record is held by Victoria Jane STONEHEWER who recorded a time of 19:51 on 12th May 2018 (event number 27).
The Age Grade course record is held by Caroline WHEELHOUSE who recorded 93.64% (20:26) on 7th July 2018 (event number 34).
Normanby Hall parkrun started on 4th November 2017. Since then 2,904 participants have completed 11,743 parkruns covering a total distance of 58,715 km, including 2,939 new Personal Bests.
