And, finally, a big thank you to the real heroes of the day, the volunteers:
Run Director and Timekeeper, Beverley Anne O’Neill
Rachel Harpham on registration
Graham Hill handing out the finishing tokens
Nigel Pengelly on the first marshal point
Zoe Dancer on the Woodland Walk point
Mark Kelly for making sure all the kit arrived (and got taken home again!)
If you would like to offer your services as a volunteer, don’t be shy, drop us an email at oldhamHelpers@parkrun.com – and don’t worry, we all had a ‘first time’ volunteering and we all survived! Remember – no volunteers = no parkrun!
One final thing – if you are anywhere near Radclyffe School running track tomorrow around 11 am, pop in and support the people running for Sport Relief. In fact, why not google it and find out if there’s one near you and run/walk or just support.
Hope to see you next week – bring a friend or two as well – they’re always welcome!
