Run Report #246 – Bushy Takeover

Bushfield Joggers returned to takeover Peterborough parkrun on the 17th February 2018. Bushfield Joggers is a local running club and have regular members attending Peterborough parkrun each week to run, catch up and eat cake!

A whopping 54 people volunteered, making it possible for 543 people to run, jog and walk on the day. Volunteering is a fun way to be involved with your local parkrun and it has so many benefits! If you would like to volunteer one week just ping an email across to peterboroughhelpers@parkrun.com.

43 people decided to sign up and come along to Peterborough parkrun for the first time this weekend, high five to you! I hope your first experience was enjoyable and you'll be coming again next weekend!

Male Placings:

Isaac Ellard (JM15-17) of Eye Community Runners, was first over the line in 16:50

David Stunell (VM35-39) of Eye Community Runners, was second over the line in 17:36

Jonathan Oakey (SM18-19) Unattached was third over the line in 17:57 in his first appearance at Peterborough parkrun

Female Placings:

Jordan Foster (SW25-30) of Obstacle Race Magazine was first (5th overall) over the line in 18:25, a new PB!!

Melissa Neal (VW40-44) of March AC, was second (29th overall) over the line in 20:29  

Olivia Mead (JW11-14) of Nene Valley Harriers, was third (33rd overall) over the line in 20:38

The female record is held by Cathryn FOLEY-WRAY who recorded a time of 17:53 on 23rd May 2015 (event number 99).

The male record is held by Edgars SUMSKIS who recorded a time of 15:10 on 10th February 2018 (event number 245).

The Age Grade course record is held by Anna GARNIER who recorded 90.78% (21:41) on 5th November 2016 (event number 176).

Peterborough parkrun started on 3rd August 2013. Since then 11,522 participants have completed 100,933 parkruns covering a total distance of 504,665 km, including 19,655 new Personal Bests.

Peterborough parkrun see's regular visitors come back each weekend. A big well done to Joanne McDonald and Neil Plant for being in the 200 club and Bushfield Jogger Rebecca (BB) Cochrane for being in the 100 club! Nicola Anand, Natasha Jacob, Giovanni Foglia, Beverley Williams, Kelly Maples, Gavin Jinks, Matthew Hunnybun, Jason Quant all reached their 10th parkrun too, awesome!

112 runners managed to get shiny new PBs this weekend, amazing! I hope you have enjoyed a happy weekend! Special mention to Susan Stevens and Daniel Benning from Bushfield Joggers who were in the PB club and a pat on the back to myself also (whilst doing a little happy dance).
