There was lots of PBs a great effort in the heat and welcome to all first timers.

If you don’t know me I'm a fully qualified personal trainer what I've been doing full time for 10 years I'm freelance where I go to clients homes to train them. I do a circuits/fitness class every Tuesday at Paston Farm, Paston Ridings with inside & outside facilities that is very popular & everyone is welcome. I do a running course every 6 weeks called Be a better runner with Phil Neacy (personal trainer) I also do Bootcamps. For more info contact me through my Facebook page Andy Harding Personal Training or andyptrainer@aol.com or www.andyhardingpersonaltraining.co.uk.

Now to mention or embarrass a few of my volunteers with most being clients, class regulars, be a better runners all in the A.H.P.T Fitness gang.
1st mention goes to my Race director Ian Davies who’s on the core team of Peterborough parkrun and does a great job and is a very nice chap. My new runners brief was Dianne Booth who done that job and ran a P.B today so thanks and well done. Timekeepers was Mia great timekeeper & Sally (Russian Twist) Smith. The funnel governors today was Will off Inbeetweeners (Lee Gillis), Matt (lost nearly 3 stone) Bennett & nephew Joe. The number checkers who was bombing up and down the funnel as fast as Usain Bolt was Caroline Gillis & Fran Williams. Handing out finish tokens with a smile was the hungover Paige Lambert & Megan (the smiler) Florence. Barcode scanners was the lovely Pat Shepperson, Claire Ingram (mother of the fastest 8 year old in Peterborough) & Shell Smith from Cowbit. Marshalling & taking control of barcode queues was marathon man Ben Harding (his dad’s a good lucking chap). Flyin’ Jessica Ingram who done 2 jobs the 2nd corner then in front of pontoon bridge. Luke (biggest spurs fan in the world) Harding (good looking dad) who did first turning & then went onto pontoon bridge, Karen (lost 3 stone) Wilmott & sons Oscar (lush cakes) & Josh (shuttle run champ), Nick (Bouncer Tawn) & Sarah (pub crawler) Frisby, Rhona & her twin Katelyn & lou storer & fast Macey, Juliet Saunders & Joy Whitehead they was having a disco on the bend near café. Todays Tailrunners was Ian Bennett in training for 1st half marathon & the young man who was nearly tripping over & standing on his tail on his hi-viz vest was the Be a better runner mascot fast Charlie Bennett.
I did the lead bike today as Martin Shelbourne the normal lead bike ran for 1st time in 2 years and done 27 mins not bad hey. Yes I was the madman on bike ringing bell saying keep left & hi five-ing runners, Martin helped the gang set up.

Thanks again to all volunteers as I've said before no volunteers no parkrun.

Just a last one to Peter Branton who set up & cleared up like he does most Saturdays. If you know Pete and have him as a friend on Facebook he likes his stats, is very knowledgeable about running and is a local running legend. Here’s a stat for you Pete, I have paced lots of people at parkrun, some more than once and have got nearly 40 runners PB's, some of them was marshalling today, will never get myself one though.

Well done to all runners. See you next week, same place same time.
