Final 3/5k Series at Werrington – 3rd August

Don't forget the 5th and final race of the Peterborough Grand Prix Series is this Wednesday 3rd August (at 7:30pm), Hosted by Werrington Joggers, Werrington Sports Centre, Staniland Way, Peterborough PE4 6JT. It's £5 attached and £7 unattached for the 5k (for 13+ year old's) and 3k @ 7pm is £3 (for 9+ year old's), please make sure you arrive with plenty of time to register as its pay on the night only.

This Saturday sees the online community Run Mummy Run 'taking over' Peterborough parkrun by providing the volunteers. Thank you ladies!

Later on in the day, Yaxley Runners are organising the Hampton Fun Run. It is a 2.2km circuit around St James' Pond at 12 noon. Pay on the day, £3 entry from 11am at Hampton Vale Primary School. All abilities welcome, under 8s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Medals for all finishers!

On Sunday 5th July, March AC are hosting their annual 5 mile Spud Run! 11am Elm Sports Field in March. £8 affiliated, £10 unaffiliated (£2 extra on the day). Bag of potatoes to all finishers. There's also a 1.5 mile fun run (£3) with a medal to the fun run finishers.

Great East Anglian Run (GEAR) – 3/5/15 in Kings Lynn for Mind.

The Great East Anglian Run is taking place on Sunday 3rd May in Kings Lynn, where participants can take part in either the 10K or the mini run (1.2 miles). As a charity that operates across Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, Fenland and South Lincolnshire, we are looking for runners to join the event and raise money for Peterborough and Fenland Mind in the process.

If anyone is interested in fundraising for Mind and for those wishing to take part, they offer full support in terms of promoting the event, providing materials, creating a donation page and offering ongoing support.

5k Santa Stroll and Run – Sunday 14th December in aid of PDAA

The Peterborough Santa Run 2014 is aiming to bring hundreds of Santa's together for a fun filled 5K to raise money for the Peterborough Dementia Action Alliance to help support people live well with dementia

Held in the beautiful surrounds of Ferry Meadows Country Park this 5K event is open to all. Run, walk or fly by reindeer!

14th December @ 11am take part in the Santa Stroll and Run in aid of Peterborough Dementia Action Alliance.

Remembrance 11k and 3k Fun Run – 9/11/14

Entries are coming in thick and fast, don't miss out on the Remembrance 11k (and 3k Fun Run) which will again take place, courtesy of the Forestry Commission, at Top Lodge, Fineshade, Nr Stamford, on Sunday 9th November. This garmin measured 11k course is traffic free predominantly on wide solid forest tracks.

The event is organised by the Peterborough 5x5 Challenge team who to date have raised over £30,000 for local charities. Again this year all profit (in 2013 it was £2300) will be donated to the Royal British Legion. Entry is only £9.00 (affiliated) and £11.00 (unaffiliated). Fun run is £4.00

Eye Charity 5m – Thursday 10th July @ 7:30PM

This year's Eye Charity race takes place this Thursday, 10th July start time
7.30pm from the Lindisfarne Road Playing Fields in Eye, PE6 7XH.

We have a new course this year. Entry fee is only £5.00 (Unattached +£2.00) with
your total entry fee donated to this years chosen charity, Sue Ryder Hospice,
Thorpe Hall. No individual prizes, but a bottle of beer to all finishers.

There will be a range of cakes and other goodies on sale with proceeds going to
Sue Ryder, so make sure you pack a few extras pounds!

Huntingdon 10K and 3K chip timed

Huntingdon 10K is a multi terrain race with the majority off road. Starting on the old disused runway and continuing off onto bridleways and field onto Great Stukeley where it returns back to the runway. Runners aged 15+.

3K (aged 9yrs +) and 1K (aged 5 years +) are held on the old runway.

Cost: 10K - £15 (unaffiliated runners) £13 (affiliated runners), 3K £5, and 1K £5.

Goody bag for all 10K finishers, Medals for finishers in all races.
