Teenagers lead the way in pre-Easter gales

Spring was welcomed at Porthcawl on the day before Summertime starts with gale force blustery winds followed by heavy showers. The wind blowing in off the Bristol Channel across the course did not give any assistance to the runners . Youngsters showed themselves to be more adaptable to the windy conditions with under 17 Tom Ogilvie leading the field home for the first time and under-14 Ffion Higginson leading her sister Katrin home as first Female. All 155 runners and the valiant volunteers need to be congratulated for their superb efforts in the worst conditions we have had in our first 2 years. We hope those who joined us for the first time will be back.
