Aren't you glad parkrun takes place in the morning? Even though there a few spots of rain we avoided the thunder storms of the afternoon.
After last week’s fantastic takeover by Valley Striders it looked though we might have been short of a few volunteers this week, but thanks to our lovely regulars we had a full house. Many thanks to our brilliant volunteers.
It was a good week for our faster runners with 4 PBs in the first 10 finishers, and 38 PBs in total out of the 262 runners who crossed the finishing line. The official results show -
1 Christopher RUSSELL 17:35
2 Sean MAYALL 18:26 (PB)
3 Dan PRICE 18:30 (PB)
1 Almi NERURKAR 19:01
2 Laura Emily DRANSFIELD 19:07
3 Liz WOOD 22:21 (PB)
Great to see two sub-twenty minute females this week.
Ronald Sousa ran his 15th PB (20:12) this week since he started running at Roundhay last November. What a fantastic achievement.

Susan Lewis (23:28)
Peter Wright (23:41)
Clement Milne (23:44)
John Titterington (24:04)
Emma Steele (24:08)
Karis Walton (24:09)

Special mention to Alex Watson – Usher who ran round the course in 30:45 with just three weeks to go before the expected birth of their baby.
I bet that there were celebrations in the Johnstone household as Billy Johnstone ran his 50th run today and brother Dan turned 18. Congratulations to both.
The highest age grading was achieved by Almi Nerurkar at 82.65%.
Good running, everyone!
