The summer is officially over and we are in the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness. It is time to don those extra layers before heading out to parkrun. However, a bit of mist does not deter our faithful parkrunners, and this week we had 270 athletes including 14 first timers.
We have a few pacers this week which helped a few of you to get your best time ever. In fact, we had 50 PBs this week, so well done to all of you. Here are a few highlights:
Rob Greenland knocked over 20 seconds form his previous time to come it at 20:05;
Tom Bamber shaved an impressive 2 minutes off his last PB with 20:47;
Lutz Hostert came in at under 24 minutes – 23:59;
Bronte Stones easily broke 29 minutes – 28:44;
Emma Black achieved her 3rd PB of September with 28:48.
We had some speedy runs from the first placings :
1 Simon DEAKIN 16:20
2 Christopher RUSSELL 17:38
3 Jonathan SMYTH 18:32
1 Del JAMES 19:31 (PB)
2 Louise CAZAN 20:59 (PB)
3 Megan DRISCOLL 22:12
Simon Deakin achieved the highest age grading with 81.73%
Well done to Huw Lippiatt on his debut role as Run Director and many thanks to all the volunteers – especially Mike Mansfield who had to sort out the timings!
Did you spot that Alex Watson- Usher was not running this week? She did make an appearance though, with J and their new baby daughters. Congratulations and best wishes to them. They are both down as volunteers for this coming week; how is that for dedication.
