A big well done to the 94 parkrunners on this grey Saturday morning.
With car’s parked and briefings done they are away!
21 first timers showed up to see what parkrun is all about and I really hope they enjoyed it. I’m sure they went away feeling the Alderford parkrun community made them welcome and we hope to see you back soon!
Impressively Pete Hayns who came first in the results was a first timer himself! Very impressive on the course - really hope he realised it was a two lapper!
Emily Grandfield was the first Women in the funnel in position 11 - well done Emily.
21 people parkrunned in a personal best time for them which is super impressive! Stephen Roberts from Oswesty Olympians ran in the male 65-69 category and finished with a time of 24.05 which pops him at the top of the age grading with a ridiculous 70.93% - well done Stephen.
Female athletes were out in force today with 47 parkrunners identifying as Women. Unknown was the most popular name with 9 of them competing.
11 Whitchurch Whippets were out in force today making them the most popular club, 8 Shawbury Joggers and one Chorlton Runner Danielle Hardy. Whatever race I enter there is always a Chorlton runner! They literally get everywhere!
Phillip Moore was the oldest parkrunner this morning and ran in the 70-74 category.
There were 4 under 10’s which is great to see!
25 volunteers made today happen - thank you everyone!
See you next week - DFYB
