Ashford parkrun #311 16/11/2019

On a gorgeous autumn morning, that presented perfect running conditions 226 awesome runners turned up to stat their Saturday morning. We had tourists from Dunfermline and Germany and I hope they enjoyed their time her at Ashford. Today was a day of many milestones. We had Paul Diddams, Mark Hammond, Zoltan Balogh and Aiden Tomsett all completing their 50th parkrun and. Alison Waters, Hazel Forrester and Kathleen Oakes completing their 100th. Great achievements, well done. Don’t forget, if you’re coming up to a milestone, let the office know.

Following our plea for volunteers we thank everyone who came forward to fill the rota. It doesn’t stop here! Remember, our awesome parkrun is kept alive by the volunteers that step forward to make it happen. Please contact the office or message the Facebook page if you are able to help out next week or any future weeks. I hope you enjoyed the luxury of our new PA system today, I certainly think it helped allowing everyone to hear the briefing clearly. These things do cost money and your donations make us able to make these investments. If everyone of our finishers today donated £1 we would be able to replenish our funds and invest further into our event. You can donate to Ashford parkrun here

Thank you for an enjoyable event this morning, to all the awesome volunteers and runners, you are what makes parkrun happen. Keep running everyone.

See you next week.
