Barrow parkrun – Event number 414 – 19th October 2019

This week 158 people ran, jogged and walked the Barrow parkrun course, of whom 10 were first timers and 27 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 13 different clubs took part.

We always say to those taking part “Don’t forget your barcode” as this guarantees you will receive an official timed result, this week maybe we should have said “Don’t forget YOUR OWN barcode”  - what appeared at first to be an amazing 10 MINUTES smashed off a Personal Best time was actually one of our junior superstars mistakenly scanning her Mum’s barcode instead of her own!

The event was made possible by 20 volunteers, without them the event could never happen so Thank You from everyone who ran. If you fancy helping out in one of the many volunteer roles, have a chat with Donna in the bandstand before the run.

This week we celebrated the 10th Milestone run for junior runner Katelyn Garnett, who provided loads of lovely cake at the café after the run for us all to enjoy, Thanks Katelyn!

Today's full results and a complete event history can be found on the Barrow parkrun Results Page.
