Barrow parkrun Event number 434

Barrow parkrun
Event number 434
22nd February 2020

This week 151 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 9 were first timers and 4 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 16 different clubs took part.

This week at Barrow we had to do our alternative route, as the lovely lake we have had burst its banks with the amount of rain we have had recently. We were lucky though to do our parkrun in dry weather, even though it wasn’t looking like that just before the start. And at the finish the sun was shining, you wouldn’t have thought it was the same day. We had a couple of tourists this week, from as far away as London, nice to have you all. Hope you all enjoyed our Alternative route.

The alternative course is a little more challenging, (well I think so) it is 3 times past the Cenotaph and 4 times past the band stand, and up the hill towards the finish straight.
