After very miserable weather on Thursday and Friday a little improvement on Saturday encouraged another big number of 373 runners along with 42 hi-viz heroes to this week's run.
We were quite low on volunteers in the middle of the week but as always we had a fantastic response to ensure we had enough to enjoy another fun morning at Bath Skyline. However if you do know in advance your availability to help, it would be very much appreciated if you can email Helen at firstname.lastname@example.org especially as we do need people in the usual roles and several car park marshals before the start of the run.
Despite the colder and slightly softer conditions we welcomed 73 first timers to Bath of which 29 were new to parkrun. I hope you enjoyed the run and you may well, like so many of us, try to fit in the lovely experience of a Saturday morning parkrun when or wherever you can. Out of the 373 taking part an amazing 55 runners improved on their personal best Bath Skyline times.
Well done and thank you to everyone involved, the only downside to the morning was that a couple of finish position token numbers went missing after the run. If anyone comes across these tokens could they kindly be returned as soon as possible or be passed on to someone you know may be taking part this Saturday.
Finally, just a quick reminder that we do try to go for post run drinks/snacks at Combe Grove Manor Hotel just down the steps from our new parking area at the top car park. Everyone is welcome and with the summer approaching, it is a wonderful opportunity to have a catch up and chat in an idyllic setting with stunning views to the south of the City.
See you all again next weekend and best wishes,
