Bedford parkrun 22 March 2014

A big thank you to everyone who came along this morning. The weather was good to us and it was fantastic to see lots of new and old faces.

Well done to everyone who completed the 5k course. Congratulations to everyone who entered the Club 10, Club 50 or Club 100 and to everyone who achieved PBs today.

A huge thank you to our fantastic volunteers who came out to volunteer this morning and we must also recognise and remember the volunteers who also work behind the scenes during the week and at the weekends to ensure that Bedford parkrun is possible. We always welcome new volunteers. Help on a Saturday morning at the event is for a maximum of an hour and a half and everyone of all ages and abilities are welcometo join us. It would be great to have further parkrunners come forward to help as it would give our regular volunteers a chance to run, jog, walk or have a day completely 'off'. Please click on the link for more information:  http://www.parkrun.org.uk/bedford/volunteer/

Bedford parkrun's course is highly suitable for parkrunners of all ages and abilities. We welcome everyone to participate from complete beginners to advance, runners, walkers, joggers and wheelchair athletes and wheelchair users. We also welcome runners with dogs (on a lead) and buggy runners.

Bedford parkrun prides itself in having an Events Director who is highly experienced and qualified in disability and disability sport and can support parkrunners with one or more disability at the event. We currently have parkrunners with a range of disabilities participating and one of our "T12" runners has finished in first place before. If you require the briefing to be provided in sign, Widgit, C2P or in another format or for general information, please contact our Director for further information at bedforddirector@parkrun.com

If you attend Bedford parkrun on any Saturday and notice anything suspicious (verbally or physically, however minor), please inform the Run Director or one of the volunteers immediately, or as soon as possible at the event. This is to help us (and Bedford Borough Council) to help you have a fun, friendly and safe event.

Are you the lucky owner of one of our Club t-shirts? We have several Club 10 and Club 50 t-shirts awaiting collection. If your name is below, please come along to Bedford parkrun's briefing at 9am (by the bandstand) to collect your t-shirt or email bedfordoffice@parkrun.com If you do not want your Club t-shirt, please email us to let us know.    Jamie Lane, Joshua Huck, Peter Bishop, Will Comber, Monty Hanford, Kate Barnard, Luke Swankie, Kirsty Middleton, Abigail Jones, Harry Wheatcroft, Daniel Hemming. If you happen to know one of the named parkrunners, please tell them to read this and to collect their t-shirt.
