After the sodden downpour which greeted our poor parkrunners last weekend, the good weather returned and the course had largely dried out for the 124 runners who arrived this week, including 57 first timers.
It is of course still early days, but averaging 50-60% first timers across the 10 events I think demonstrates the unique nature of this parkrun. Once again, we had an illustrious member of the 500+ parkrun club, Kirsty BANGHAM from Bushy. Kirsty was the 9th member of the 500+ club to attend Bethlem in 10 runs.
26 people recorded new Personal Bests. Well done all!
First over the line was Roger VILARDELL in 16:48, just 3 seconds outside the fastest overall time to date, which Roger himself and Simon Fox (his colleague at Petts Wood Runners) jointly hold.
2nd over the line was first timer Luke BURDEN Striders of Croydon in 18:40 and his club colleague Graeme DRYSDALE was 3rd over the line in a time of 19:04.
For the ladies, first over the line was Ellie OSMOND of Blackheath & Bromley Harriers AC in 19:56, setting not only an category record for the 15-17 age group, but also setting a new overall Female category record. Well done Ellie!
Second lady was Sam WATTS in 21:27 and 3rd over the line was Saffy WALTON in 23:24.
