The weather gods were kind to us on Saturday and blessed the 13th Bethlem Royal Hospital Parkrun with sunshine, although not enough to evaporate our wonderful water feature (well, large puddle) between the two fields, meaning wet feet again for the gathered throng of 219 runners, walkers and joggers that took part.
An eclectic bunch they were too, representing 34 different clubs, from Saltaire (near Bradford) to Sutton, Petts Wood to Portsmouth. There were 117 first timers to BRHP, notably swelled by the massed ranks of the touring ‘Zero 2 Hero’ team, who had three of their number celebrating their 100th milestone: Marylin Stringer, Dee Timon and Sid Launchbury. On top of all that we had 40 new Personal Bests too!
The event was made possible by 17 wonderful volunteers - huge thanks to:
Terri SHOTTON • Jackie GANLEY • Clare STONE • Christopher JACKSON • Ben WALSH • Anne WHARTON • Simon YATES • Colette SHORT • David APPLETON • Bob THOMAS • Jasmin NANCEKIVELL-SMITH • Simon POWELL • Joanne CAREY • Sue HOLLYWOOD-POWELL • Mary YATES • Bernice BURNS • Niko BURNS
