The calm after the storm!

Well done everyone for coming out today, despite the heavy rain / hail that we had about half an hour before we started!

First week back!

Wow! What a morning.

Thank you.

I think I was expecting about 9 children this morning. Turns out that I had completely underestimated and we had 38 junior parkrunners this morning on a bright, but windy morning. You were all amazing!

it was so nice to see lots of our regulars back (who have all grown massively in the last year) as well as lots of newcomers.
Welcome to Joseph, Dexter, Enzo, George, Alexander, Oscar, Mila, Florence, Amalia and Del and well done for completing your first junior parkrun.

Well done to Ava, Max, Jasper, Chloe, Jack, Samuel, Abigail, Thomas and Alfie for getting a PB today.

You are all superstars and thank you to all grown ups for bringing them along. We have lots of space on our volunteer roster in the upcoming weeks, so please let us know if you can help out.

Many thanks,

Betteshanger junior team :-)

A breezy one.

What an amazing splashy muddy morning we had.

Well done to everyone that came today - the weather didn't look great when we first woke up, but the rain just about stopped by the start time.

The rain held off, with our fantastic marshals cheering everyone on.  We had a wonderful turnout of 23 people. We welcomed Arnav who was a first timer. It was lovely to see him beaming as he crossed the line.

Well done to Leo and Chloe who were speedy and managed new pb's.

It was wonderful to see and would like to thank the wonderful efforts of Lucy, Liam and Mason, who when finished their runs ran back to cheer and motivate their fellow parkrunners.

See you all next week!

We’re back!!!

Finally we're back! After 3 weeks of cancelling because of bad weather we were all excited to run our event today. We had 13 runners who joined us today with 3 first timers. Welcome to Isla, Ellie and Theo - it was great to see you all.  We hope you enjoyed your first run and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

After waiting patiently for almost a month, Molly received her ultra marathon wristband and certificate for running 50 events - fantastic work Molly!

Well done to all of our runners who managed to count 3 times around the field as we had to use our back up alternative route due to flooding and brambles.  Thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers, without whom we couldn't run these events. If anyone fancies becoming a high-vi hero, please let us know. Full training and stylish high-vis jacket provided :)

Hopefully we're back to normal and we'll see you all again next Sunday :)

Puddles!

What a lot of puddles and splashing this morning!

Well done to everyone that came today - the weather didn't look great when we first woke up, but the rain had stopped by 9.

A big well done to Chloe for getting her half marathon wristband (11 junior parrkuns) today. Well done to Imogen for getting her Ultra marathon band (50 junior parkruns). and also to Molly who was running her 50th today.

See you all next week!
