Event 6 was our foggiest morning yet for running. We could barley see from one marshal to another and there was a chance at one point we may have needed to change the route but our marshals came to the rescue and we covered all bases for us to go ahead as planned. Although the fog didn't lift, as it had settled well on the course, everyone gave it their best and completed the route.
67 runners braved the conditions this morning; we had 18 PBs and 22 new runners to Birches Valley with 23 volunteers all of whom make the event - so a super special thanks to them. This morning Xanthe H received her half marathon award - if you think your runners are nearing their milestone award, keep and eye on their profile and let us know so they can be presented with their milestone awards too.

If you can volunteer for any forthcoming weeks, please let us know. Even if you're just there to spectate, popping on a hi-vis vest can make the difference to the event. We can try to accommodate positions that you feel most comfortable with. Just drop us a message or see one of us on the day to get involved.
Thanks again to everyone that came out today. The fog has now lifted and we're all set for next week!
We are missing token number 7. If you have it, please can you keep it safe and return it next week!
