Run report #220

It was a bit parky down the park today

Take that! (Said the temperatures, probably here to stay)

Did the trees offer protection,a lot of love and some affection? (Asked a worried Port Vale fan)

Shussh Robbie, they didn`t.Thank you though for your concern

But we have a resident Vale fan and wear the shorts with style he can but never in Lucerne.

The former pink welly lady, she was the run director, in command with the backing of all

A lovely morning but still no sight of Stuart McCall.

Hello and welcome to this week`s run report. Hopefully you've all warmed up now, thanks for another amazing turnout today! Not far off 500 for a freezing cold morning is fantastic, congratulations to all of you today for coming along and taking part!

Run report #2019

You have to search for the hero inside yourself

Said Heather Small

Or was it Johnny Ball,or even Stuart McCall?

Anyway, there were 400 heroes at parkrun today

Both on the course and off it but a special word must go to our pacing team

Who all deserved a large ice cream

Also a special mention to our tail walker, a tall bloke from Stoke

That`s enough poetical meanderings for now says Carl Cort

It`s time for the run report!

Welcome to this week`s run report.Uncle Path Lake had returned down south to wreak havoc and it was back to 2 laps which celebrated its first anniversary recently so happy birthday to the 2 lap course and thank you to the 3 lap for filling in so well last week.It was still wet but thankfully not the monsoon we had 7 days ago.A special thank you to all our pacers this week. All of them are normal runners like yourselves and all were brilliant on the day! Our next pacers day will be December 7th and then the first weekend of every month. Our pacer bibs are available for hire each week though so if you want to pace, just get in touch through the usual volunteer channels. (That bit was slightly grown up wasn`t it?!)

Run report #218

3 isn`t the magic number De La Soul

Its 44 said former Newcastle striker Andrew Cole.

Or did he? Who knows,we`ll ask him when he awakes

We had to switch the course today to 3 laps because of the path lakes.

Nearly 300 of you still came along to get soaked to the skin

And the Pet Shop Boys weren`t there to perform "It`s a sin"

We started in a different place, although a while ago it was the right spot.

Still,hopefully we`ll have no rain next week,fingers crossed,what?

Hello and welcome to this week`s run report. The visit from Uncle Path Lake was annoying seeing as he didn`t tell us he was coming but we counteracted his presence by switching to the old 3 lap course. After a discussion we remembered the route and Steve took the marshals out down memory lane. He came back but you can`t have everything (just kidding Steve!) Thank you all for coming along and your tweets and posts since.

No keys lost this week! Hurray! Sadly,a pair of glasses has joined the lost property box hall of infamy.

Pacers day is next week! So far we have pacers for 24,26,28,30 and 39 and a mystery time.Let us know if you fancy a go.

As you may or may not know we having a pacing parkrun at er...parkrun on November 2nd. We have brand new blue bibs ,some with numbers on(woooooo!! If you can help us out by pacing on that day please contact us via the twitter or facebook letting us know what time you`d like to pace and also email in to birkenheadhelpers@parkrun.com so we can add you to the roster (Don`t worry if you forget to do the latter,we can add you on the day.) Also if you can`t commit in advance and you still want to pace if you can get to parkrun that day, just come up and tell us on the day and we can add you to the roster and get you connected with a lovely bib) We`ll introduce you to the massive crowds beforehand and let everyone know what times you`re running as well as posting on our social media.

So far we have Karl Hamel(28), Paul Bradley(40) and Kenneth Noble(30) down to pace.(If those times are wrong, let me know)

Thanks

Run report #214

It was a little bit windy and there was the odd drop of rain

Thankfully though,no hurricane.

The funnel flowed from its northern timekeeping outpost

To its southern barcoding metropolis

Without the help of Derby`s lesser known Costa Rican,Mauricio Solis.

Runners, joggers, walkers and woofs made their way around the course

None of them on a horse.

Thank you all for another great turnout

Of that there is no doubt.

Hello and welcome to this week`s run report. Thanks for another great parkrun. A couple of bits of housekeeping. There was a dog not on a lead today. We will be checking this next week and questioning all the dogs to see if it was them. Seriously, all dogs on a lead,or you can`t run. Its not safe. Partly why we don`t allow cats. There was only one bit of housekeeping.

Run report #213

The squirrels were in a combative mood

Throwing their nuts around, not just at anyone from Bude.

This of course happened in the finish funnel

They were of course, disappointed by the absence of Sally Gunnell

The pink welly lady had us all worried about Len Goodman

But after the next runner crossed over the line....I think their finish number was SEVEN!

We were assured that he was ok,he`s just been visiting Devon.

Another fantastic number of you ran around the park

And a load of woofs having a bark.

Hark! Enough of this malarkey,on with the run report!

Hello and welcome to this week`s run report. A lovely day in the park, except for the finish funnel where both timekeepers had frostbitten fingers but neither of them mentioned it much, well one of them did,a lot.Anyway we had James in charge, lots of fabulous first timers, visitors, regulars and dogs and thanks all for coming!

Run report #212

The sun shone bright around the park today

And 554 of you came out to run. No way! Way!

I don`t know if we had a Wayne Campbell taking part

But no cats, no horse and not a single cart.

Still no sign of Sally Gunnell

But in a time of 26:34,we did see Hannah Funnell

I`ve got nothing else, to be honest I wasn't there

I was at work to be fair

I wasn`t at the cricket,getting caught

Enough of that,on with the run report.
