Coldest Run of the Year …so far!

Black Park parkrun
Event number 457
24th February 2018

On the coldest Saturday of the year so far, 551 people ran, jogged and walked the Black Park course, 60 were first timers and 76 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 29 different clubs took part.
Gloves, hats and thick tops were in abundance. As we all stood at the start listening to instructions some chose to move from one foot to another, others chose to jump up and down but all were keen to get started.
It might have been cold but it was clear and many people stated how great a morning it was to be out running. There were a few puddles but the path was fairly dry. The sun was out and everyone was enjoying the run through the park.
So many people have said that they love the Black Park run and last Saturday you could definitely understand why.

The event was made possible by 23 volunteers:

Barbara ALLEN • David PRIDDY • Fred ASHFORD • Andy TORRANCE • Ian SMALES • Laura HAWKINS • Zoe SMITH • Freya SMITH • Diane KENDALL • Karen ALOE • Charlotte PEDRICK • Minnie CROSS • Audrey PARSONS • George MARDALL • Paula KELLY • Ken PHILLIPS • Alex MARTIN • Martin STEWART • Holly PHILLIPS • Ollie STRIDE • Marie KOUHI • Jaskaran Singh SALL
