Dogs at Black Park parkrun

Please could we remind all runners with dogs that your dog should be on lead at all times during the run, and that the lead should be short, particularly in the early stages when you are potentially passing large numbers of runners. The dog also needs to be in your sight at all times and not running behind you so that you can react to what it is doing, and please do not use the extendable 'trip-wire' leads - your dog needs to be on a suitably strong lead so that you have instant control over the dog should it be required. Runners may also not see these leads if it is extended and may assume the dog is running with another person and attempt to run between you.
Please follow these simple guidelines and the run will be safer for all.
