Welcome Back Scotland!

Saturday 14th August -  Black Park parkrun  No.568

Scotland: This Saturday (14 August) we are delighted to be welcoming back 5k parkrun events across mainland Scotland, and with this, from Sunday (15 August), 11-14 year olds will once again be able to record a walk, jog or run at junior parkrun events.

Currently more than 90% of events in Scotland have landowner permission to return.

Wales: It’s now only one week to go until 5k parkruns in Wales return, with many Saturday-morning events reopening from 21 August.

Landowner permissions continue to come in, there is a green light at over two-thirds of locations, and whilst it may not be able to restart all Welsh parkrun events a week on Saturday the remainder won’t be far behind.

Northern Ireland: The large majority of both 5k and junior parkrun events are now operating across Northern Ireland

England: More than 500 5K parkruns have now resumed across England, and 11-14 year olds are once again logging walks, jogs and runs at over 200 junior parkruns.

However if thinking of doing a parkrun while on holiday or setting off for a new event:

There are still a small number of events without confirmed return dates

With this in mind, please do check local event web pages, and social media, before attending any parkrun event.

Black Park went ahead at 9:00am on Saturday with good running conditions and after last weeks deluge - NO RAIN!
