Last of the Summer Parkruns

It was a beautiful sunny morning at Black Park, a nice contrast to some of the poor weather we had been experiencing, a lovely end to the summer season! As September approaches, like myself, many will be going back to school in the coming weeks, perhaps moving up to secondary school or even university (there may be a parkrun nearby!). Some may be moving up to higher year groups, where you may start the Duke of Edinburgh scheme-we always need volunteers, and it's a fantastic choice to gain confidence and new skills. Even if you are not doing the scheme, you can email to get involved, we would love to have you with us! The volunteers have always been the most essential part of parkrun, helping the event to run (excuse the pun) smoothly, and we couldn’t do it without them.

There were some more incredible milestones this week-congratulations to all of them!
10 club: Arjan DHILLON, Charlie QUANTRIL
100 club: John PALMER, Michael DUNNE, Tim KARBANI

At this week's event, 433 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 48 were first timers (we hope to see you again, remember to register!) and 80 recorded new Personal Bests (well done!). Representatives of 38 different clubs took part.

We had 24 volunteers at yesterday’s event; a massive thank you to:
