This week 277 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 49 were first timers and 96 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 24 different clubs took part.

The male record is held by Jordan MIDDLEMIST who recorded a time of 15:39 on 5th October 2019 (event number 24).
The female record is held by Danielle HODGKINSON who recorded a time of 17:17 on 5th October 2019 (event number 24).
The Age Grade course record is held by Guy BRACKEN who recorded 94.46% (16:33) on 1st June 2019 (event number 7).

Blyth Links parkrun started on 20th April 2019. Since then 2,556 participants have completed 6,125 parkruns covering a total distance of 30,625 km, including 1,299 new Personal Bests. A total of 167 individuals have volunteered 609 times.

The male record is held by Sparrow John Richard MORLEY who recorded a time of 16:04 on 20th July 2019 (event number 13).

Blyth Links parkrun started on 20th April 2019. Since then 2,507 participants have completed 5,848 parkruns covering a total distance of 29,240 km, including 1,203 new Personal Bests. A total of 161 individuals have volunteered 581 times.

We have so much coming up - we can't wait to share it with you!

October 5th parkrun are celebrating their 15th birthday!
October 19th we have a Parkrinson's UK takeover!
November 2nd we are cancelled due to the set up for the town councils Firework display
November 16th a local primary school are taking over, staff are volunteering and the children have been invite to run with their grown ups!

 

How to sign up to volunteer reminders from Blyth Links parkrun

We'd love it if you signed up to receive our volunteer emails. This is the easiest way for you to stay up to date on where help is needed, and really helps us to fill our rota in plenty of time before each Saturday so we can be certain the run is going ahead.

Opting in to receive volunteer emails is easy. Just follow these steps:

Method 1: The easy way....

This way involves just two clicks, and is super simple. Just follow these two steps:

1. Open a results email from Blyth Links parkrun, and scroll down to where you see this message and click the orange "volunteer opt-in" button:

2. When this page has opened, click the "Yes, subscribe me" button.

And.... that's it! Dead simple. You'll see the below picture confirming you've signed up, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Method 2: The not so easy, but still really easy way...

1. Open any parkrun email (either your results or newsletter email) and click manage my profile

2. Click on email options

3. Select Blyth Links from the dropdown list (blue arrow), then hit opt-in (labelled with 2. and a orange arrow), then save opt-in events list (labelled with 3. and a red arrow). event optin

Please make sure you select BLYTH LINKS from the drop down
If you've followed this correctly, you will then see Blyth Links in the box labelled currently opted in to these events as per the above. If you want to unsubscribe, just click the X next to Blyth Links to stop receiving our emails.

We promise never to spam you. Opting into this will only allow volunteer emails to come through to your registered email address which will happen about once a week, sometimes twice if we are still short of volunteers as Saturday approaches, and if we have to cancel the run we can quickly send an email out to all to notify.

If you see a slot on the Future Roster page you fancy taking, just email us with your name, barcode number (including the leading "A") and the position you'd like to fill.
