Fortunately the sun went behind the clouds for most of the 122 people who ran or jogged the course this morning although it was still very hot. We welcomed an impressive 40 first timers with visitors from as far as Jo'burg and representatives from 23 different clubs took part. One notable visitor was Alexandra Mason who has a two digit parkrun ID and has run 287 times at Bushy parkrun!
Congratulations to the 14 who recorded new Personal Bests which included Daniel Baker from SAC who led the field home for the 4th time with a superb new Brockenhurst PB of 16:36. That was also good enough to give Dan our new M25 record.
The ladies were led home for the 25th time by Alice Rudd of Hardley who closed the gap on our leading First Lady Chloe Woolf who has 27 First Finishes at Brock.
It was good to see NFR's super Vet Graham Ratcliffe back in sub 20 minute action after an enforced layoff. Graham celebrated joining the 50 Club today by setting the highest Age Grade score of over 83%. Impressive as that is it's some way short of his highest Age Grade score at Brock of 89.24%! Graham also holds our M55 and M60 records so will hopefully be back in full form shortly.
Many thanks to the 19 volunteers who made this morning's event possible and rallied round after the course stakes were extricated from the locked Sports Centre only 15 minutes before the start:
