-2°C improving to +1°C during a run can only mean one thing...thermal underpants! It was a cold, icy and damp start to Burnham and Highbridge parkrun today, but the forecast was dry and the event enticed 435 runners, walkers and rhino's (yes a rhino) to turn up.

Matt POWELL had the Run Director shirt on today and we thank him and all of the other amazing volunteers for setting up in the cold ready for us all. Also announced, were the milestones that were achieved today. Today saw 1 new member for the junior 10 milestone, 2 for the 50 milestone and 5 yes 5! for the 100 club! Well done all, go get those shirts on order!

This week was pacer week! Everyone loves pacer week! It's a chance to put all that hard work to the test and give it everything you have to chase down the blue shirts to get that almighty PB (Personal Best). Thanks to all the pacers this week, sorry not all of you heard the shout for the photo!

If you wondered why there was a Rhino at parkrun today, then this was Andy HUMPHRIES training for the London Marathon...to run in that costume! To see more about Andy's story please visit his fundraising page... https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/andyhumphriesrhino

The cool weather clearly helped a lot of people today as there was an impressive 72 PB's achieved today which was 16.55% of the total turnout. Well done for smashing it!
