For the first time in what seems like forever, there was minimal wind for our 490 runners this morning at Apex Park. As part of the parkrun celebrations today runners were encouraged to wear purple and our volunteers were mostly ladies Before everyone sprinted off the start, run director Tracey Benton gathered some of the volunteers for a photo.

Now for a shout out to all our runners which included 78 first timers and two milestones
Of the 490 runners who took part, you were from 44 different clubs and achieved a PB rate 19% with a 91 new PBs!!!
Leading the way with personal bests were our first male and female over the line, Kevin Bale in 16:51 and Kate Drew in 17:45! I hope you both have some 'parkrun prosecco' to enjoy!
Finally, I'd like to provide my stand out memory from today's event was one of runners today Sabrina Cecconi, who went above and beyond to provide thanks to our volunteers with some beautiful brightly coloured bags. You handed them out with a smile and I'm sure everyone who received one was grateful.
