Christmas Day parkrun at Bury

There will be a 5k parkrun at Nowton Park on Christmas Day at the usual time of 9.00am. Thank you to all of those who have volunteered to ensure this event can go ahead ...

Happy Christmas to you all,

From the Bury parkrun team

New Year

As we are having a parkrun at Bury on Christmas Day, we have decided not to hold an event on New Year's Day 2019.

There are of course many other local parkruns and I'm sure some of these will have NYD events so do look out for these .....

Christmas Day parkrun @ Bury

Good news! Zachary has very kindly offered to Run Direct on Christmas Day, which means we will have a parkrun at Bury again this year.

It will start at the usual time of 9.00am so everyone can get home at a reasonable time to enjoy the festivities/start preparing sprouts!

We do need volunteers though; so if you fancy helping out then please do let us know.

Bury St Edmunds parkrun Event number 271 27th October 2018

Despite being a little bit colder, the weather was kind to us today with some sunshine and a cold wind for Parkrun. I certainly enjoyed my run back at Bury, after some Parkrun tourism over the last couple of months. Parkrun is one big happy family and it is wonderful that we are able to join in anywhere in the country at 9 am on a Saturday morning.

Here follows the official parkrun report.

Congratulations to Martin Cook for reaching his 50 Parkrun milestone and to Amelie Taylor for reaching her 10th Parkrun milestone.

Bury St Edmunds parkrun

7th July 2018

It was another hot and sunny morning for Parkrun today. I certainly think it was easier and cooler being Run Director today, and I admire all of you who ran in the heat, especially those of you who recorded personal bests.

Special thanks to some of the volunteers who had to change roles at the last minute today, due to a couple of people having to drop out at short notice. We couldn’t manage to put on parkrun without our volunteers, so please take a look at the future roster and if you are able to fill in any gaps over the next few weeks, do get in touch.

Hope to see you all again next week.
