Event 78

We had another fab morning at Bushy. There seemed to be more spectators than normal, which added to the gasp of admiration from the crowd as the front runners neared the finish. These guys are fast!

We also saw a lot of first timers, so thanks for choosing Bushy to start your junior parkrun career! Always great to see new families getting involved in something so healthy and positive.

We also had lots of new PBs today. So we'll done everyone.

The volunteers were amazing today. Not only do they keep everyone safe, they also make the event even more fun with their enthusiasm and excitement. We made a slight change to the approach to the finish funnel which worked well, and we had the very experienced Kennedy twins on time-keeping. They normally time-keep at the Saturday Bushy parkrun which has over 1,000 runners, so this mornings event would have been a doddle for them!

Do remember that there are now various local weekly junior parkruns in the area, with Laleham and Hanworth recently being started to add to Surbiton, Moormead (Twickenham), Nonsuch, and Wimbledon.
