Part of the Furniture
It was on April 9th 2005 that Charles and Camilla were married in Windsor. Apparently the gift for seventeen years of marriage is a piece of furniture. You can just imagine Charles buying Camilla a nice sideboard to cover up a damp patch on the carpet in Clarence House.
Anyway, they'd have been very happy with Saturday's weather for their wedding day, it was absolutely glorious.
As usual, our volunteers turned up early to sort everything out for the event. Ruth and Jonny were on funnel duties this weekend.
Joy, Lucy and Chloe were our volunteer coordinators this weekend, they had a busy time assigning jobs to our sixty wonderful volunteers.

As always we had quite a few visitors making their pilgrimage to Bushy on Saturday.
Esther, Joel and Alan. Esther and Joel had travelled from Preston to help Alan celebrate his 50th event.
Karen, Ed and David very visiting from Horsham. Ed managed to run a PB of 18:58!
Twenty of our athletes managed the fantastic feat of scoring above 80% in our age grading system and Pamela Whitter managed 94.25% Amazing!
A big thank you to Katie Simmonds who responded to our last minute appeal on the start line for a VI guide for Alan Turnbull. She'd never done it before but according to Alan was brilliant! Thank you Katie.
Ewen Gibson is our latest member of the 500 Club. Ewen started parkrun almost exactly sixteen years ago in April 2006. Since then he has run 471 times at Bushy and 29 times at 23 other locations including Firenze parkrun in Italy and Bois de Boulogne inParis. He ran his PB of 22:20 in 2008. Well done Ewen, many congratulations!
It's official, Ewen gets his token.
Paul and Carol plus cake.
Some of you may have spotted an ambulance at the finish line on Saturday. one of our athletes, Paul, tripped over right on the line and sustained a leg injury. Happily he was out of hospital pretty quickly and is keen to get back to Bushy as soon as he can. Good man. We would like to extend our best wishes to Paul and his family and also say a big thank you to the attending ambulance crew who were fantastic and also to the doctor who stopped to help him literally as she was about to cross the line! Doctor Wendy is one of our regular parkrunners and didn't seem to mind that she eventually got a token about twenty minutes after she finished!
Many thanks and see you Saturday.
